Frequently Asked Questions

Where are you located?

Our production facilities are in Texas: Robstown and Hale Center. We have several dealers that carry Cottonseed Bales. See the dealer locater page HERE.

To buy directly from us you must get an 18 wheeler load which is approximately 50 bales. The price will vary depending on the price of cottonseed at that time. If you are needing a smaller quantity then you will need to contact a dealer as each sets their own pricing.

Each bale weighs approximately 1000 pounds

No, the bales are wrapped in a thick plastic that is weather resistant so they can withstand the elements.

Not necessarily. The plastic wrap can be cut away a little at a time to allow the deer to eat while it is still partially wrapped.

If nothing penetrates the wrap then the cottonseed will remain palatable for at least 12 months.

Old research showed that a diet containing only cottonseed can cause sterility. Recent research has shown that fed to wild deer at a rate less than 40% there is no sterility issue. Current research is being done at levels above this at this time. Cottonseed has been used on ranches across south Texas for 50 years with no sterility issues.

Cottonseed is high in protein 19-24% and high in fat ~15% and is highly digestible. It makes a great feed source that is known for putting body weight on deer allowing all available nutrients to go to antler growth and milk production. Making larger antlers and bigger fawns!!
